Biogas production by biological methanation

Aim: Lower the cost for upgrading Cortus end-products to biogas by using biological organisms. If the project is successful, there is potential to reduce Sweden’s fossil fuel dependency in the transport sector by as much as 3 TWh within 10 years.

Results so far: The upgrading process has been tested with simulated syngas, showing good results. The next step is to run the system at the Höganäs site in real time for 8 weeks.
